MADOC LIONS 1ST DINNER MEETING FOR THE 2023-2024 YEAR.
Guest Speaker Monique Allore from Community Care enlighten the club on
services provided by Central Hastings Community Care and what we can do to
support them. Zone Chair, Lion Gord Hoard made his first visit to the "Little Club
with the Big Heart. Lion Gord gave an update on what is going on in our Zone.
His challenge to the club was to work more with the other clubs in our zone.
Lion President Tom took the time to thank each Lady in the Club and presented
them with a "Women In Lions" lapel pin. We are truly thankful to have these
ladies in our club
KIWANIS CLUB OF TWEED
We were pleased to make a donation this evening to Tweed Minor Hockey after
our BBQ to thank volunteers that helped out at the August Chicken BBQ. Bob Sills
presented the cheque to Mike Else, who also is our newest Club member!

TWEED LIONS CLUB
On September 12th the Tweed Lions Club enjoyed a delicious dinner in honor of our
retiring long serving members. The club wanted to
thank them for all they have done for the club in their many years of service. Our
retiring members are: Gord Stickwood – 19 years, Bonnie Stickwood – 18 years, Betty MARMORA LIONS CLUB
Brinson – 16 years, Maril Swan – 14 years. Some of the many events that they Lion President Cynthia
brought to the Lions Club have become signature events - Music in the Park, the presenting Lion Lloyd with a
Jamboree, and Music in the Hall. If you see any of these amazing Lions around town check for the Terry Fox run.
thank them for all they have done for the community in their many years of service.
Without those who came before us, the Tweed Lions Club would not be what it is
now, or will be in the future.
