Martha replies. Her tone of voice is ice cold and relaxed, she is showing not the slightest sign of excitement or emotion.
Klaus Friedrich looks at me, expecting a commentary from me. I keep silent, not knowing how to deal with the provocation. What license is Martha allowing herself here, I wonder. Klaus Friedrich is enraged:
"All my life no woman has interfered with my business matters. What liberties are you giving yourself now? The two of you have probably cooked up something good - but without me, my dear child, I think, you two should leave now.”
