„What do I get when I walk up to her and say hello?"
I asked my colleagues mischievously and they dismissed my comment with amusement-
"That you not do anyway so you have a carte of Dom Perignon" was the answer.
I assembled every bit of courage that was in me, got up from my chair, walked down the staircase and straight up to Collins.
"Hello Joan, how nice to see you - do you remember me from the Colombe d'OR?"
I played on the magic of the Colombe d'Or, there where I met her first, a place where everyone was treated equal, as the place was bigger than any individual, irrespective of rank and position, as I said earlier.
And I was right: Joan turned to me, first puzzled, but then she put her famous dazzling smile on and hugged me - kissed me ever so lightly on the cheek - and said:
