RADIOGRAPH REPOSITORY
An online radiograph repository (the “repository”) will be available for the benefit of owners and
buyers. Any radiographs voluntarily submitted to Asteris Keystone Community will be available for
viewing online by a buyer’s veterinarian prior to the horse selling. However, the viewing of the
radiographs by the buyer’s designated veterinarian does not relieve the buyer of the responsibility
to examine horses carefully prior to bidding.
Auctionware, LLC/Triangle Sales will not review radiographs prior to the sale of the horse; makes
no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the authenticity, sufficiency, quality,
completeness or accuracy of the radiographs (all of which are the responsibility of the owner); and
is not responsible or liable for any error, claim or damage as a result of the buyer’s use or reliance
on the radiographs.
Paragraph 7, Right Of Return, in the Conditions Of Sale - Terms, Warranties, Buying Procedure and
Settlement applies to all horses with or without radiographs.
All images submitted to the repository are the property of the owner.
RADIOGRAPH REPOSITORY TERMS
Participating owners, bidders, buyers and veterinarians agree to the following terms:
All radiographs must be taken within 60 days of the first sale session and must be submitted no
later than 5:00 pm CST, 7 days before the first sale session.
Given that horses can and do injure themselves, images may be added to the repository for an
“area of concern”, if the original upload has already been accomplished. A corresponding report
from the veterinarian is required and the images must be added during the regular submission date
range.
Label For The Studies:
Hip Number (as it is in the catalog), Sire, Dam and Owner (consignor as listed in the catalog)
Any radiographs received that do not clearly describe the horse, owner, veterinarian, and date will
be discarded.
Owners will be held responsible for associating radiographs with the horse(s). If the horse name is
changed in the radiographs knowingly or unknowingly, or if the images have been tampered with,
the owner is responsible for any charges and/or damages incurred from a dispute.
Neither Asteris Keystone Community nor Auctionware, LLC/Triangle Sales will be reviewing or
screening images for positioning or technique. This is the responsibility of the submitting
veterinarian at the time of acquisition.
The following views are recommended:
Both carpi: DLPMO, PLDMO (just off lateral), flexed lateral medial
Both hocks: Just off DP 10 degrees (slight DLPMO), lateral medial, PLDMO
Both stifles: Lateral medial (getting the proximal tibia as well as the trochlear ridges of the femur
and patella) and a plantar anterior, as long as the condyles are visible
The following views are suggested:
Both front fetlocks: DP, flexed lateral medial
Both hind fetlocks: DP, standing lateral medial
For horses 2 years and older it is also suggested to have the front feet radiographed 60 degree DP
and Skyline.
