In May 2003, the first HLA website launched and the Memphis office opened. 400 Active Families

In April 2007, the HLA administrative offices moved to Selmer, TN.
2008
In 2008, the second version of the HLA
website launched.
2010

In 2011, the HLA administrative offices moved to Jackson, TN.

In 2012, HLA launched Applecore Grading System
2014

2016
In August 2016, HLA graduated the first 13 Year Club.
HLA had over 20,000 Active students in 2016
In May 2016, HLA launched the third , and current, version of the website.
HLA had over 10, 000 Active families in 2016.
HLA graduated over 6,000 by 2016!

HLA has a total of 22,600 students enrolled!
I want to share my heart with you, a heart full of gratefulness to God for allowing us all the great honor of joining Him in the battle to save families. Make no mistake - that is exactly what this is about. The family, as our Creator intended it, is under assault and attack from every direction. One of the enemy’s best weapons is to indoctrinate kids through forced schooling and to separate them from meaningful family relationships. The 1960’s to the 1980’s were especially brutal for our society.
Enter the homeschooling movement. I believe with all my heart God began and sustains this movement. It is one of God’s greatest pushbacks against Satan and God’s resounding shout of “CHARGE!!” to the front lines of battle. The coolest part is that He calls us to charge with Him....and so we do. We shout, “Here we are Lord!! Send us!” As we do this, God changes lives.
We may never see nor know the lives we get to help change, but we know they ARE being changed. We know parents are getting their kids back from a dark system. Furthermore, we know God has won the victory through Christ our Lord. He defeated the power of sin when Jesus, our Messiah, freely went to the cross. His Father, our same Father, raised that same Jesus from the dead and seated Him at the Throne. Then a true miracle happened when we were given new life by the outpouring of God’s Spirit into our hearts. Today we live in the Kingdom of God as new creations. And one day, after our bodies give way to death, our own spirits will live forever free with our Father in paradise. This is Truth. This is the position of Truth from which we fight! We join arms, link hands and stand with God’s army and fight. We fight for each other and for future generations. Each day is important and no small task is disconnected from the big picture of what we’re doing.
So that’s my heart. You have a place here to share your heart as well. Thank you for all you do to fight for the lives of kids and for the future of families.
