J&J entered into an 8-year direct power purchase agreement with Brookfield-Renewable, making J&J the first manufacturing organisation in Ireland, to have implemented this renewable energy solution. Two wind farms will meet J&J’s electrical power
requirements with guarantees of Irish origin, helping to move J&J’s Irish operations towards 100% carbon neutrality enabling a >70% reduction in CO2 emissions across four J&J manufacturing sites.
Wind Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
Over the 8 year lifetime of this agreement, the two windfarms will
produce enough electricity to power 264,400 HOMES and will result in carbon dioxide emissions reduced to the equivalent of:
