GOLD SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
WVU Medicine celebrates volunteer week
Jefferson Medical Center volunteers, auxilians and chaplains were honored during a
st
luncheon hosted by hospital administration in the 1 floor conference room.
As part of both annual luncheons, volunteers were recognized for hours of service to
the medical centers over the past year. Members of the hospital auxiliary, the
organization that plans fundraisers in support of the hospitals, were recognized for the
financial support they provide the hospitals. The chaplains were honored for their
volunteer efforts in providing spiritual support for patients, families and staff.
In addition to recognizing the volunteers for their efforts year round, National Volunteer
Week is also an opportunity for Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers to create an
awareness of volunteer opportunities within the hospitals.
For more information on volunteering at Berkeley Medical Center or Jefferson Medical
Center, call the marketing department at 304-264-1223.
