Leadership Jefferson Class XIII
The Leadership Jefferson Class had their Community Service module.
The day started with a tour at Meals on Wheels with Roger Dailey. The
class then traveled to Jefferson County Community Ministries with
guest speakers Bob Shefner, Director; Karen Scott, Charles Town - Kids,
Key Club, & Kiwanis; Alesha Livesay, Jefferson County Day Report
Center; Marti Steiner, GRaCE-Greater Recovery and Community
Empowerment. Lunch was held at Paddy’s with guest speakers:
Michael Shol, Shepherdstown Centennial Lions Club; Paula Marrone-
Reese, CEO Good Shepherd Caregivers; and Jennifer Patoray, JJ Bags.
The class then went to tour the Boys & Girls Club, Jefferson County
with guest speakers, Mary Ellen Lloyd, Facilitator of Student Support
Services, Jefferson County Schools; Victoria Slater-Madert; Child &
Family Services Supervisor, Children’s Home Society; and Vanice
Colas, Jefferson County Boys & Girls Club Unit Director. Donations
were collected by the leadership class of games, books, basketballs,
soccer balls and other items for the children at the Jefferson County
Boys & Girls Club. Thank you to all the guest speakers who spoke to
the class.
