14th District officers conduct safety day at summer camp
14th District officers engaged with more than 70 children and teens at the Humboldt Park Summer Camp on July 1. The officers spoke to kids about staying safe for Indepen- dence Day weekend and the importance of working togeth- er. Then they taught the teens about gun violence, the dan- gers of fireworks, officer use of force and citizens’ rights.
Knights share their love of the game
There’s nothing more summery than baseball, and while the workdays have been tough, members of the Chicago Police Knights Baseball Club have continued their committed mission to supporting youngsters in the community. The Knights took part in baseball skills clinics at Hamilton Park and Blackhawk Park to share their love for and knowledge of the game with lo- cal youths.
