turing personality allowed her to do so. Many people, including offenders whom she arrested, thought she was more ap- proachable because of her kind nature.
“When we would have to arrest some- one, they were always like, ‘Well, I want to talk to the nice one,’” Ziola revealed. “They’d always want to talk to me.”
She tried to pass on that kindness and passion for helping others to her daugh- ters when Stefany joined the force in 2013 and Trysha did so in 2014.
Trysha, who had her heart set on be- coming a teacher, and Stefany, who wanted to become a federal agent, like her father, both took the CPD entry test at the same time in 2010. They entered the academy nine months apart.
Stefany, who has been on the job for nine years, quickly fell in love with be- ing an officer. She had picked up on her mother’s desire to help others at their most vulnerable and took it to another level.
