Cops and the Community
Before the emergence of coronavirus resulted in common-sense restrictions to help slow the spread of the virus, and before Chicago Police officers were asked to once again put themselves on the front line of an unusually uncertain time, the city’s finest continued to keep themselves invested in building relationships within their communities through a variety of local events and engagement opportunities.
19th District
7th District
As the worst of winter wound down, 19th District officers gathered with local residents and other community partners at Hexe Coffee for a warm beverage, conversation and a few smiles along the way.
Members of the 7th District Domestic Vio- lence Sub-Committee did their part to help residents during a pair of events in which they distributed toiletries to those in need. On March 7, the group also provid- ed” to “in need and, on March 7, provided warm coats to individuals who were without one.
