What you need to know about this candi- date: O’Brien has twice worked in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, including high-level leadership positions in the Felony
Review Unit and bureau chief of the Criminal Division. He lat- er served as an assistant Illinois attorney general and in 2006 was elected as a Cook County Circuit Court judge. He wants to target gangs, guns, sex offenders and drugs to free Chicago neighborhoods from their grip.

What you need to know about this candi- date: Wilson ran for Chicago mayor in 2015 and 2019. He founded a medical supply com- pany and has distributed more than 40 mil-
lion face masks to the public throughout his campaign.
Mike Fricilone
3rd Congressional District

What you need to know about this candi- date: The platform of Fricilone is to push forward legislation that lowers taxes, with an emphasis on families and seniors. Lodge 7
President John Catanzara lauded Fricilone for writing a letter of support for law enforcement as the country has witnessed calls for police reform and civil unrest.
Sargis Sangari
9th Congressional District

What you need to know about this candi- date: Sangari is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry and Special Operational Forc- es. Sangari is the CEO of the Near East Cen-
ter for Strategic Engagement (NEC-SE), which he founded on Sept. 11, 2014, in commemoration of the Americans who were lost in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, and in recognition of the first responders who continue to suffer and die from health effects arising from the attacks.

Brown is a supporter of increasing community policing initia- tives to foster unity. She is an advocate of respect for officers who work tirelessly to keep the peace.
Jeffrey Muehlfelder
19th District State Representative Republican
What you need to know about this candi- date: Muehlfelder is a detective in Area 5, who previously worked patrol in the 25th District from 2006 to 2017. Muehlfelder
pledges to be a voice in Springfield who will not be afraid to challenge machine Democrats, especially on matters related to police reform and defunding law enforcement.

20th District State Representative Republican
What you need to know about this can- didate: Stephens was appointed Mayor of Rosemont by the Village of Rosemont Board of Trustees on May 1, 2007, and appointed
state rep on June 29, 2019. He is facing an opponent heavily supported by Illinois Speaker Mike Madigan. His platform is based on creating local jobs and smart economic develop- ment, reform to end Illinois’ culture of corruption and stop- ping Madigan from taking over communities.

What you need to know about this candi- date: Hurley worked as an aide for 19th Ward Alderman Matt O’Shea, one of the most re- nowned law enforcement advocates on the
city council. She also recognizes the vital work of unions and has continued to advocate for workers’ rights and strong, re- liable infrastructure.

78th District State Representative Libertarian
What you need to know about this candi- date: Flynn’s platform is that the relationship between law enforcement and the people is
built on communication and protecting civil rights of every individual. He wants to incorporate community relations content in the training at police academies.
Tammy Wendt
Cook County Board of Review District 1 Democrat
What you need to know about this candidate: Wendt has been a practicing attorney for 20 years who began her legal career as a prosecu- tor in the Cook County State’s Attorney office
in 2000. She wants to make the property tax appeals process in Cook County more accessible for the average citizen and ensure that it is not just the property tax appeal attorneys who get breaks for their clients.
