On Nov. 16, 2017, Officer Stanton answered a call of a per- son not breathing. When the officer arrived on scene, she assessed the situation and found out the person was hav- ing a heart attack. The officer leaped into action and started CPR.
The officer continued administering CPR until an ambu- lance arrived. The person was transported to Little Compa-
ny of Mary Hospital, where doctors confirmed he had a se- rious heart attack. Due to Officer Stanton’s quick reaction, a citizen’s life was saved.
