A May tradition with tremendous meaning, the annual Cop on a Rooftop for Special Olympics Illinois once again put Chi- cago’s finest high above the city streets in the name of charity. From the North Side to the South Side, Chicago Police Officers raised thousands of dollars through donations made at local Dunkin’ Donuts.

Whether waving from above on an overcast day or greeting residents on the street, officers made the most of the event which, now in its 17th year, supports Special Olympics ath- letes. Chicago police participated at many of the record 315 stores across Illinois to join together for the event on May 17.
