A big ‘Night Out’ connects CPD of cers with residents
Across the city – from Gately Park to Hamlin Park, and at several district headquarters – Chicago Police Officers joined an army of volunteers and sponsors to celebrate National Night Out 2017.
The festivities took on a variety of shapes and sizes. Kids enjoyed face painting, tried out the rock climbing wall and, at the 14th District party, got a chance to hit a cop with a pie. Residents enjoyed food from a variety of sponsors and local businesses.

Chicago White Sox mascot Southpaw par- tied it up with dozens of residents who turned out at McKinley Park for the 9th Dis- trict National Night Out event.
A petting zoo and an up-close look at Chi- cago Police gear were among the many ac- tivities for kids and community members in the 17th District.
Approximately 300 people – including a youngster who met a police K-9 – visited Margate Park to see re dancers, the Jesse White Tumblers and enjoy free hot dogs during National Night Out in the 20th District.
