Gallery Michael Flisk Run
The First Michael Flisk Guns N’ Hoses 5K Run/Walk brought hundreds of participants out to the Bever- ly neighborhood on July 23. The event raised funds to benefit the 100 Club of Chicago Education Assistance Program, which provides scholarships for spouses and children of fallen first responders.
The 100 Club also established a scholarship to honor Officer Flisk, who was shot and killed on Nov. 26, 2010 while processing the scene of a vehicle burglary inside an alley garage at 1:30 pm in the 8100 block of South Burnham Avenue. He served the Department for nearly 20 years.
