Celebrating big dreams in the 10th District
Despite piles of snow and a global pandemic, officers in the 10th District are still dedicated to getting out into the community and connecting with youth.
Feb. 8 marked the ninth birth- day of a resident named Brian, so a group of law enforcement officers, including the SWAT unit, made a special surprise visit
to the young boy.
His family is facing many health and financial struggles, but
the reality of those issues hasn’t quelled Brian’s dreams of one day becoming a SWAT officer for the Chicago Police Depart- ment.
A few days later, another young man with dreams of working for the Department also received a special visit at his family’s home. Jacob, whose age was not disclosed, is currently battling leukemia.
