Support for Chicago Police Officers came out in force on Aug. 2 with two events that backed the blue.
On the Northwest Side, a first responders motorcycle run began in the 16th District and rolled through the 25th District and Area 3. Lodge 7 President John Catanzara joined the ride, which provided lunch to officers in the districts that riders visited.
On the South Side, families – many of them police families – came out for a Back The Blue walk in Mount Greenwood. Police vehicles led the parade along 111th Street, and even pouring rain could not keep people from coming out to back the blue.
