On behalf of the IMSDP Board of Trustees, it is my honor to announce Sherry Nelson mda as our 2020-2021 Artist of Distinction. Sherry is known throughout the U.S. and across the world for her beautiful paintings of realistic birds and wildlife.
Since the very beginning of SDP, Sherry has served in many capacities and received well earned recognition for her dedication to SDP and Decorative Painting. She has served as president of the SDP Board of Directors, achieved the level of Master of Decorative Painting, received the Silver Palette Award as well as teaching and exhibiting at nearly every SDP conference. Her generosity continues as she teaches at the Fredericksburg Retreat in January 2021. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from this special talented and gracious lady! Congratulations, Sherry!

On behalf of the Foundation Board of Trustees, it is my great pleasure and honor to formally announce Priscilla Hauser mda as the 2022-2023 Artist of Distinction! Priscilla organized a meeting of 22 women and a lawyer and founded the National Society of Tole and Decorative Painters 50 years ago.
There is no way to list all her incredible experiences and awards. She was featured on the cover of Craft and Home Magazine and published over 250 books! She is in the Craft and Hobby Association Hall of Fame and rightfully deserves to be our Artist of Distinction!
