To adhere your artwork onto an Art Block, squeeze a conservative amount of the PVA Adhesive over the front of the block (but enough to spread across the block). Spread the glue evenly over the block with an old credit card (make sure the glue
is applied to each edge). Place your artwork over the block and position in place. Cover with plastic wrap and flatten with
your hands or roll with a brayer. Hold the paper in place until the glue starts to hold. Then use a damp cotton swab to remove unwanted glue around the edges. Turn your artwork over, place it face down onto a towel and place under heavy books for a day while the glue sets and dries. Once the glue is dry, use a coarse and fine edge sander to sand away any excess paper around the edges of the block. Also, sand over the edges of the wood to give it a rustic look. Wipe clean and apply a few coats of JoSonja Matte Varnish over the edges and back of the block. Let each coat dry before adding another coat.
For some sparkle, apply Opal Dust over the snowflakes, stars, hat trim, and ball on the hat. Let dry. To give your piece some sparkly dimension, use an old brush and water to thin down the PVA Adhesive just a bit. Then apply just a touch over some of the major areas of the hat trim and ball on the hat. While the glue is wet, sprinkle Floracraft Diamond Dust over each area and shake off the excess. Let dry. Lastly, use PVA Adhesive to glue jewels to the snowflakes and stars. Let dry. Sweet Frostiemint!
