How to issue a gift receipt/return policy and other procedures
2 WEEKS PRIOR
Make sure your store is ready and well-stocked; take note of any deadlines for online requisitions and place your orders beforehand, keep in mind that you must be well-stocked enough to accommodate the entire peak period
If you would like to open earlier, please make sure to contact your DSM and mall administration to advise them of the change for that day, and ensure that you change your store hours for that day in StoreForce
Review Visual directives and develop an execution plan Start saving boxes to use as hanger boxes

1 WEEK PRIOR
Create a zoning chart and make sure that you have the
right coverage for the weekend. Factor in the need for a replenishment team each morning (and possibly evening as well!) and expect to have the steamer going all day, each day.
Review the schedule to make sure it is optimal – it is easier to cut back than be caught short-staffed
Make sure all the capacity guidelines are fulfilled
Inspect marketing elements and prepare them for installation
Refer to the Merchandise Replenishment section of the Peak Period Planner.
Replenish gaps little by little each day to ensure you never have to replenish the entire store at the last minute – create a system to slowly lift the replenishment in the store over 3 days prior to the event. Lift piles (but ensure that you do not cover any signage!) and add extra sizes into walls and racks while respecting the visual standards of the store.
Your back room should have been cleaned and organized before the peak period. Take time the week before to ensure it is clutter-free and that the product is easy to access – you do not want your team to be wasting time and energy! Ensure that your back store is organized by commodity, style and size
Make sure the team is well-informed of your plan of action. The team should be aware of:
• Targets
• Promotions
• Product Knowledge • Dress Code
• Zoning
• Procedures
