1 WEEK PRIOR
Replenish gaps little by little each day to ensure you never have to replenish the entire store at the last minute – create a system to slowly lift the replenishment in the store over 3 days to the event. Lift piles (but ensure that you do not over any signage!) and add extra sizes into walls and racks while respecting the visual standards of the store. Refer to the Keeping Your Store Organized section of the Peak Period Planner.
Your back room should have been cleaned and organized before the peak period. Take time the week before to ensure it is clutter-free and that the product is easy to access – you do not want your team to be wasting time and energy! Ensure that your back store is organized by commodity, style and size.
THE DAY BEFORE
Stock and fill the cash desk. Make sure there are extra printer rolls, packaging, and bags. Have all the POS details and barcodes readily available.
Make sure to have change in your cash register.
Make a replenishment plan: assign a replenishment team of 2 people to be in charge of making replenishment throughout the store.
Remember: the more products you have on the floor, the more you will sell!
AFTER CLOSING
You must do a bank deposit.
Complete the floor replenishment and empty the back room as much as possible (while still maintaining the visual standards of the store!).
Stock and fill the cash desk.
