medieval walls form the most complete circuit around any town
or city in England. Chester was founded as Roman fort in the
year 79 and was known as Deva. It was one of the three major
Roman army bases in the UK

If you go to see a game at Chester FC’s Lookers Vauxhall
Stadium, you will probably cross the English-Welsh border
in doing so. The club offices and car park are in England,
but the pitch is in Wales!

Chester ZOO is the most visited wildlife
Americans ranked Chester above the likes of Prague and
attraction in the UK, named seventh best ZOO Venice in a list of the prettiest European cities. Nowhere
