As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
The Walt Disney Studios , Paul Shurgot oversees finance
for the Studios ’ film division , which includes films
produced by Disney Live Action , Walt Disney
Animation Studios , Pixar , Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm ,
as well as the stage play and music division . Paul
joined The Walt Disney Company in 1994 , and has held
positions in Studio Financial Controls , Corporate
Operations Planning and Studio Finance . Memorable
projects include the reorganization and sale of
Miramax , start -up and dissolution of Image Movers
Digital , DreamWorks distribution deal and the
integrations of both Marvel and Lucasfilm ’s studio
operations following their acquisitions by Disney .

Prior to joining Disney , Paul served as Manager , M&A
Advisory /Due Diligence Group , at Ernst & Young LLP ,
where he was responsible for analyzing and
structuring the acquisition of target companies . Paul ’s
previous experience includes roles at Harvey Universal
Inc . and KPMG Peat Marwick . He pursued his
undergraduate degree at UCLA where he received a
Bachelor of Arts in economics and business , and later
earned an MBA in strategy and finance from the UCLA
Anderson School of Management .
