The Plan Begins
Every plan begins with an idea. The idea has grown over the years from the need to
upgrade some of the existing sports facilities to looking at the complex as a whole and
determining what overall changes can provide an exciting and new attraction for the
students, athletes, and visitors to the campus.
The proposed improvements at the Athletic Complex are slated to bring big changes and
a new look to the area. Pedestrians and the student athletes will benefit with easier
access, the latest turf systems, new technology for engagement in the sporting events,
and other improvements that will make this Complex one of the best in the area.
At this time, the idea is to divide the improvements into three phases, so that the area
isn’t completely shut down and some activities can continue. It may, however, limit some
off-season activities, but the idea is to try to limit the impact on the main seasons for the
impacted sports.
