FLYING COLOURS
IN CELEBRATION OF BREITLING’S 140TH ANNIVERSARY, A NEW NAVITIMER HAS TOUCHED DOWN. BUT,
unlike this model’s high-flying forebears, the Navitimer Automatic GMT 41 has a sleeker look, eschewing the collection’s traditional chronograph complication for a trim and tidy GMT. It features a central 34-hour scale, the Navitimer’s iconic slide rule bezel at the outer edges of its dial, and the ability to track two time zones simultane- ously on its ultra-legible layout. And, though also available in rose gold, this stainless steel version would be our first choice — not least because (alongside ivory and black options) it has a suitably sky blue dial for a pilot’s watch. Throw in a glare-proofed crystal and sturdy bracelet, and you’ve got a streamlined, sophisticated tribute to one of the world’s great tool watches.
BREITLING NAVITIMER AUTOMATIC GMT 41, $7,700 .
