BEAUTY
Mane Appeal
Fendi’s Studio 54–inspired silhouettes and prints by influential illustrator Antonio Lopez were accompanied by an equally elevated beauty look on the brand’s Spring/Summer 2022 runway. Designed in collaboration with Delfina Delettrez Fendi, calla lilies were formed out of Murano glass and used to pin back loose waves. Statement-making hair accessories were also seen at Simone Rocha, where models donned dazzling tiaras, and at
Tom Ford, where the designer opted for bejewelled barrettes.

Desert Jewels
Inspired by the ride-or-die spirit of the KNWLS woman,
the first brand collaboration between Panconesi and KNWLS brings the essence of a sun-baked desert to life. The collection’s 14 styles include trademark Panconesi designs such as the Upside Down Hoops and Stellar Earrings, which are reimagined as accessories that mirror the natural patterns of textured terrain and marbled stone. Each piece within is meticulously crafted with silver-plated bronze or brass with natural and technical stones, as well as enamel-coated resin.
Panconesi × KNWLS is available at marcopanconesi.com.

ART
In Focus
With the opening of the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto’s spring 2022 exhibitions, comes the return of Iranian-born, New York– based artist and filmmaker Shirin Neshat, who will showcase her first major exhibition in Canada in 20 years. Exploring the exhibit’s theme of connections and disconnections to place, “Land of Dreams” will showcase Neshat’s recent work, which merges photography and film into an immersive experience that presents a portrait of contemporary America. In addition to the Land of Dreams installation, the exhibition will also include photographs from Neshat’s Women of Allah series, as well as her films Roja and Rapture.
“Land of Dreams” is on view until July 31, 2022, at MOCA. Visit moca.ca for more information.
