THE DALMORE DECADES NO. 4 COLLECTION IS NO
ordinary whisky collection, but rather a selection of four exceptional whiskies from 1979, 1980, 1995, and 2000 hand-picked by master distiller Richard Paterson. In fact, only 25 such collections exist. Of course, a collection this extraordinary requires an extraordinary party to match. That’s why The Dalmore celebrated the North American release of the No. 4 Collection at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim in late September. The city’s finest turned out, sipping cocktails made by Botanist’s mixologists and whis- kies selected by The Dalmore. A three-course meal — with custom whisky pairings — followed. Guests then enjoyed a viewing of Decades in the Making, a new film produced by the V&A Dundee that explores the creative synergies between Paterson and the world-famous architect Kengo Kuma. The No. 4 Collection was raffled off by BC Liquor Stores in late October for $200,000.
