1492. The palace is built around a central courtyard. On one
        side there is a lookout tower. The beautiful plasterwork on the
        upper floor with inscriptions from the Nasrid period is in a fine

        state of conservation, and it is easy to see why local people call
        it the "little Alhambra". We will walk past Santa Isabel
        Monastery before getting to San Nicolas square, famous for its
        view of the Alhambra. We will visit the mosque gardens before
        walking back to San Cristobal and driving to a restaurant to
        enjoy lunch.

        This excursion involves walking over cobblestone and steps,
        which can be slippery when wet. Sturdy shoes are
        recommended

        Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 miles (2 hours).
