The Trip Home

On the last day of the cruise, Royal Clipper docks early (between
6:00 am and 7:00 am), like almost all cruise ships. It’s probably
the only thing it has in common with them.
Getting up on the last day of any cruise is a hectic race to
disembark. After clearing customs and immigration, the bus,
hopefully with our luggage on board, is ready to take us to the
airport.
We are on a TAP Air Portugal flight from Lisbon to Heathrow.
Somewhere between getting off the ship and getting on the
plane we will have time to finish breakfast.
After checking in to our hotel at Heathrow, there is time to relax,
have dinner and get the rest of the sleep we didn’t get the night
before.
On Friday, November 1, our Virgin Atlantic flight is flying us, and
our memories, home to Seattle.
