Tony Blake Trophy
"Sayonara" and "Rawhiti" race for the Sayonara Cup,
Saturday 19th January, 1907.
This Perpetual Trophy was painted by Tony Blake CYANZ.
In 1907 along the shores of Port Philip, defender 'Sayonara' draws ahead of challenger 'Rawhiti' and
successfully retains the Sayonara Cup.
Tony gifted this exquisite painting to the CYAA as a tangible expression of strong links between
New Zealand and Australian classic sailors and their Associations.
