CYAA 2022 Winter Series Race 2 story
Congratulations for to Seabird with Evan Bieke and Cam Smith. Cam reported Seabird pouit in a
faultless performance in conditions just right for a Folkboat. Throughtout this race it was tight one
on one racing between groups of boats. Results show tight corrected time placing across the fleet.
Stories across the post race gathering on the RMYS Marina were full of what cost them time in the
form of very small seconds.
Great Veterans story
From Sydney we have a record of Sydney’s classic yachts that are veterans of 1970’s and earlier
Sydney to Hobart entrants. It’s congratulations time to Nigel Stoke and his crew on the Knud
Reimers designed Fidelis who placing first and to Nicole Shrimpton and her crew that bought the
Ernie Digby designed 8 metre Defiance for placing third in their Division one group.
