Chapter 7
“From birth, my face was deformed, so I was different from the other children, but my mother still loved me nonetheless. She was my comfort and I could always depend on her. She always took me to the community park where I gained my love for nature. Unfortunately, she...died...and... I found her body at home. I was devastated and things never got better. I had to live with my granny after my mother’s death.
She hated me for my appearance and she did not allow me to look in the mirrors so I wouldn’t bruk them. I was devastated and the pain was overwhelming, so I went into her basement where I saw a dusty ol’ magic mirror. When I touched the mirror, I became a part of it and all I could feel was anger and a strong determination. It made me want what I always wanted most which was to have a better appearance.”, he said while he stared at the ground.
