Chapter 1
As a child, Vincent was always alone. He was not the best when it came to making friends with the other children, forcing him to always go to his mother for comfort as she always knew how to make him feel loved and appreciated. Marsha would often take Vincent to the community playground rested in the heart of Dunns Rivera, with many activities for him to enjoy. The tall trees that bordered the park acted like guards, muffling the sounds of the activities taking place around them. Small children would play on the colourful swings, monkey bars and see-saws as their parents kept a watchful eye on them. The noise of dogs barking playfully as they chased each other in circles filled the air, along with the smell of the thick, lush, freshly cut grass that blanketed over the ground. Vincent loved the feeling of being outdoors and around nature, especially alongside his mother.
