This project presented the design of a reliable and efficient electric power supply system for a packing house and its refrigerated storage rooms. The system was tailored for continuous operation under varying load conditions. Key aspects included risk analysis; protection against short circuits, overloads, voltage drops, and electric shock; as well as grounding optimization. A backup generator was integrated to ensure uninterrupted power during emergencies. Main components such as transformers, distribution boards, feeder cables, and mechanical equipment (compressors, fans, pumps) were selected based on safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.

Israel enjoys abundant sunshine most of the year, making solar energy a valuable national resource. Expanding solar power production can be achieved by constructing new plants or enhancing the efficiency of existing solar modules. This project investigated the impact of anti-reflective (AR) coatings on the performance of CdTe-based solar cells. Several materials were examined, prioritizing cost- effective options compatible with conventional cells. The research focused on applying polymer-based AR coatings using dip-pen nanolithography (DPN), a precise and innovative lithographic method. These polymers offer superior optical properties compared to traditional materials. Simulations and prototype fabrication confirmed that such coatings significantly improve light absorption and cell efficiency while maintaining low production costs.
