This project introduces a mobile application that uses “AdHoc WiFi” technology to enable real-time text communication between nearby users, without relying on Internet access or cellular networks. Designed for use in emergency situations or infrastructure-limited environments, our app creates a temporary peer-to-peer network, enabling users to exchange urgent messages. This system automatically detects nearby devices and facilitates fast, secure, and reliable messaging. By focusing on accessibility, simplicity, and resilience, our application supports effective communication during critical moments, such as natural disasters, remote travel, or large events.

This project addresses an extended version of the ‘maximally diverse grouping problem’ (MDGP), incorporating user preferences to ensure at least one preferred member is included per group. The solution is implemented as a full web-based platform with client-server architecture, enabling users to input data and receive optimal group suggestions via a tailored algorithm. Our system includes visual comparison tools and supports diverse applications, such as educational team formation. Advanced “DevOps” processes were integrated to ensure efficient, continuous, and reliable deployment and operation of the website. This combination of algorithmic complexity, real-world applications, and robust development practices makes the system both practical and innovative.
