Chapter 6.

            VACUUMING
There May be Two of Them
If you are part of a housecleaning team, your company may use
two vacuums, this makes saving even more time a real
            possibility.

            Their Uses
Use the bigger, canister vac w/ turbo head
("Big Vac") or an upright vacuum on
carpets, rugs, and some upholstery. Use
the canister vacuum flat head on hardwood
floors, the kitchen floor and all types of
upholstery. If you don't have two
vacuums, don't worry you can use the Big
Vac with different attachments the same
way you would use an upright vac. NOTE:
You will rarely use the small attachments
            when doing Maintenance Cleaning.

How to Vacuum with the Big Vac
The most important point in vacuuming is to follow Rule 1.
Therefore, you plug the vacuum in once and then vacuum the
entire house without ever replugging it. This little gem of an
idea will save you 20 percent or more on vacuuming time by
itself. You'll never backtrack (sound familiar?) to first unplug
and then go looking in the next room for another plug — which
is often behind the TV or couch or in some other infuriating spot.
To avoid unplugging and replugging, we
use a 50-foot extension cord. The cord is
stored on a cord caddy (there are many
            inexpensive models and styles available)
that keeps it from tangling and tying itself
            into knots.
