So far, 2015 is a good year!

                                            We’re celebrating 43 new members!

Since 2013, Red Rock Canyon has hosted an annual Naturalization Ceremony. To celebrate our new citizens,

each year Friends of Red Rock Canyon (FORRC) offers the participants a one-year complimentary FORRC
membership. Six new citizens became Friends members in 2014. On March 14, 2015, Friends offered the
same complimentary membership to the 100 men and women who became United States citizens that day.
We’re pleased to report that, as of press time, five of the new citizens became Friends members!

                                      Welcome to our new Recruiters!

                           Meet Barb Bergstrom

around volunteer as evidenced by the hours she has spent as an
Exhibit Area Specialist, Hikes/Programs participant, Tortoise

Vivienne and her husband, Ziggy, became Friends members
in April 2014 through a membership gifted by another Friends
member, Robert Schmidt. Because of their love and concern

for Red Rock Canyon, they now have a means to demonstrate
those inclinations through membership. Vivienne has taken a
further step by becoming a volunteer.
She joined the Landscaping Committee in November and
has been an active caretaker of the grounds since then. In addi-

her first day, she recruited a new member. She is interested in
all that Red Rock Canyon has to offer, and we believe she will
