1. RECEIVING
The first destination of a returned compressor is the receiving dock. Compressors are received in a wide range of physical appearances and mechanical conditions.
2. TEARDOWN
Each compressor then proceeds to our teardown department, where department every machine is completely disassembled and reviewed for the root cause of failure. All parts are then assessed for re-usability.
3. WASHING
The compressor is then put through the first section of our washing cabinet, where dirt, paint, oil and soot are removed during this wash process. Raw blocks are blown dry in order to undergo the first inspection for signs of damage.
4. CLEANING SYSTEM
Once the parts are completely dry they are then put through our large Viking shot blast cabinet to further remove imperfections that have adhered to the raw parts. Rust, copper slag and paint are removed at this time. Gasket and o-ring surfaces are not affected by this process.
5. PRE-ASSEMBLY
The compressor is now ready to be built, and the parts are staged for pre-assembly. Blocks undergo a fine cleaning by hand to remove any leftover residue, and the final inspection of parts is performed. Parts are pulled and staged for the assembly area and rotors get their bearing races.
6. ASSEMBLY PROCESS
Some compressors are built in one cell, while higher demand units go through a series of cells. Assembly is performed in different cells on the manufacturing line by experienced and certified technicians. The cell divisions allow compressors to be built from start to finish with no delays in the assembly operation.
7. FINISHED ASSEMBLY
Once the assembly process is complete, a compressor is skidded and transported to our leak test station. All compressors are assembled using the same best practices, whether it is a remanufactured compressor or a completely new machine. All parts are inspected and tested to OEM standards.
