GCSE Design and Technology
Design and Technology is an exciting and evolving area of study. Good design
affects the way we live, from the products that we buy, the houses and the
environment that we live in and, essentially, is present in all areas of day-to-day
life. Combining many elements from Art, Science, Maths and ICT, the subject
offers a range of exciting projects exploring materials, processes, CAD and
CAM to create products and prototypes. The portfolios produced are highly
regarded by higher education and employers when applying for the next step
in a student’s life.
