What do you study?
A Level Drama and English
Literature and BTEC Performing
Arts
How has Seaford supported you
over the years?
The Academic Access and
Achievement (LS) Department
have provided not only academic
support but also pastoral
support. My English teachers
enabled me to achieve a Grade
7 at GCSE despite my dyslexia
and that inspired me to take
the subject through to A Level. I
have achieved my personal best
at Seaford and can’t thank my
teachers enough for their support.
How long have you been
at Seaford?
I joined in Year 5 and came here
at a similar time as Mr Green, and
it’s amazing to see how he has
developed the school, especially
the performing arts which are
my passion. The shows are just
incredible and very much like
West End productions. It’s been
lovely to grow up here and seeing
how the school has developed. Mr
Green comes to the productions
and he always gives feedback to
everyone, he’s very personable
and cares about all the students.

What do you study?
A Level Biology, Geography,
Maths and I’m doing an EPQ.
Tell us about your time here
I love the Seaford community
and have been well supported
to achieve academic success.
You get to know teachers well
and they support you to achieve
your goals. I’ve been stretched
academically but in a non-
pressurised environment.
Mr Gisby really supported us
during the Oxbridge application
process, and he helped me
prepare for my interview at St
John’s College, Cambridge.
I realised that, although
Cambridge is certainly one of
the very best universities, that
Durham is more suited to me and
what I want to do in the future.

What do you study?
A Level Business, Drama and
Geography and I’m doing an EPQ.
Why did you choose Seaford?
When I came to an Open
Morning, Mr Green said the
Sixth Form should be the best
two years of your life. There was
a very welcoming atmosphere
that I didn’t get from other sixth
form colleges that I was looking
at and Seaford just felt right. I’m
definitely living my best life, I love
it and will be sad to leave!
How is Seaford different from
your previous school?
It’s about what schools value; my
previous school valued talent and
natural ability, but Seaford values
resilience and hard work and
everyone is accepted. Academic
ability is equal to skills in art, sport,
etc. The support at my old school
wasn’t as great as it is at Seaford
– I am a more balanced person at
Seaford.
“I have loved the teaching styles at Seaford and enjoyed
the classroom debates which I felt were a good
preparation for university. I especially loved the Politics
course as it relates directly to the real world. I have also
enjoyed being the tennis captain and a prefect, as
these roles have given me the opportunity to develop
leadership skills. This has made me more confident and
helped me to develop essential social and life skills.”
