Leadership Opportunities
in the Sixth Form
Seaford’s Peer Mentors are trained to offer support to other students.

What leadership roles interest
you in the Sixth Form?
I’m currently Head Boy and I
really want to leave a legacy
and make a difference to the
community. I’m also Deputy
Head of the Army section in CCF.
I was a peer mentor in Year 12, I
was Head of House for Walled
Garden East and I’m also a subject
ambassador for Biology.
A big part of our culture is giving
back and the Sixth Form students
supporting Prep School students
is a great example of this. I help at
the Prep School Dissection Club,
and it allows me to encourage
younger years to gain an interest
in Biology, a subject that I love.

What leadership roles interest
you in the Sixth Form?
Being involved in every aspect
of school life and the leadership
opportunities have really
developed me as a person. I
was Head Boy and Head Cadet
in CCF, a subject ambassador
for Chemistry and a music and
academic scholar. The CCF
(Combined Cadet Force) includes
a BTEC in Personal Development
and Teamwork which has been
fantastic for developing my
leadership skills. As a subject
ambassador for Chemistry, I
helped out at the Prep School
Science Club and I really enjoyed
explaining the science behind
making glow sticks.

What leadership roles have you
enjoyed in the Sixth Form?
I really enjoyed being a peer
mentor in Year 12 and a prefect
in Year 13. The training you get as
a peer mentor is really useful as
a life skill and it felt good to help
other students. My friend Harry
in the 1st XV rugby team also
helped with reading sessions in
the Prep School, which he really
enjoyed. You can get involved in
a lot of things which is good for
your personal development but
also good to put on your personal
statement for UCAS.
