Formal 2012 Georgia Tech is hard. No one is going to deny that. Things often look bleak as the semester goes on and grades start coming in. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and get away from it all. DU has a time honored tradition th for this. Formal! This year (April 13 ), we’re packing our bags and driving down to New Orleans for the weekend. Our dates and us will be departing Friday and coming back to Georgia Tech on Sunday. While there, we will have a banquet honoring current DUs in categories such as DU of the year, unsung hero, scholarship and Pledge of the Year. Seriousness aside, we also honor those that managed to court the most “interesting” of females and always managed to have a new girl by his side every week. Philanthropy Update The success our Delta Upsilon chapter had with St. Baldrick's this semester is something that I hope continues in later years. As a chapter, we raised almost 12,000 dollars with multiple brothers raising over 1,000 dollars. As philanthropy chair, I was personally very pleased to have raised as much as we did for such a great cause.
