Why Conduct A Feasibility Study? any graduates may wonder: “Why do Mwe need to conduct a capital campaign feasibility study?” The answer is simple: just because we want to build a new Chapter House doesn’t necessarily mean that we can conduct a successful fundraising campaign that will get us all the way there. This feasibility study will allow us to accomplish a number of tasks designed to gauge the potential success of the campaign, including, but not limited to: • Determining the overall interest level and support of the campaign by our brothers and assessing the overall fraternity experience of our alumni from a broad spectrum of generations. • Identifying those brothers with the capacity to make lead and mid-tier gifts, obtaining their reactions to the project, and determining if they have interest in supporting it. • Educating our alumni on the need for the project and identifying the people we will Chapter House Today have involved to ensure success. • Identifying alumni interested and willing to The size and scope of changes made to only from an initial funding perspective, help as volunteers throughout the campaign the chapter house will be directly related but also in terms of sustainable operations and on one of the ongoing committees. to the level of support and interest that we over the long term. receive from our alumni. This includes 16 out of 25 Fraternities and 6 out of 7 Sororities. Given the accelerating physical deterioration of our House, it is not reasonable to believe that within the current structure, our fraternity Kappa Sigma can continue to recruit and compete Phi Gamma Delta against the other leading fraternities on campus. Though the chapter is thriving today, to ensure this positive momentum continues and to shape a future legacy that befts the rich heritage of our chapter, it is now time to support the fraternity by constructing a new house that meets the needs of today’s students.
