Graduating with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1943, he was a charter member of Alpha Nu. A veteran of World War II, Sonny was stationed on the battleship U.S.S. California in the South Pacifc. After returning from the war he graduated from Augusta Law School. He practiced as a tax attorney from 1950-1965. He then took the David Hardy ’11, aka Bama, and Margaret Singletary tied the knot on October 11th, 2014 in Uniform Certifed Public Accounting Exam and practiced as a CPA for Bedingfeld, McCutcheon Thomasville, GA.
