ChAPter NewS AlumNi NewS Austen Packer ’07 – Here is a picture of me landing after a combat mission to Iraq in September of 2014. I spent nine months deployed on the USS George H. W. Bush as part of the Valions of STRIKE FIGHTER SQUADRON FIFTEEN. I’ll be getting married to Claire Richard in September, and we’ll both be at Homecoming! Robert Ayerst ’78 – To kick off spring, a group of six Undergrads joined my wife and me for a day of sailing on Kentucky Lake aboard my 37 foot sailboat. Brian Rizzo ’13 (pictured far right) standing with Congratulations to Brian Rizzo ’13, former GP and recent graduate, Vanderbilt’s 2015 winners. who was named Vanderbilt’s Greek Man of the Year! Brian was also named to the honorary society, Order of Omega, for the top 3% of academically performing Greeks. Prior to his tenure as GP, he served as New Member Educator. Under his leadership, the fraternity was named Vanderbilt’s Most Improved Chapter and has been a two- time fnalist for Chapter of the Year. On the IFC Executive Council, Brian authored the IFC Inclusivity Agreement and was Chairman of the Greek Allies Program. Brian was active with Vanderbilt Student Government and the Dean’s Advisory Board. He studied abroad at McGill University and the London School of Economics, and he interned for the United Nations Offce at Geneva. He wrote two senior theses, both of which were awarded Highest Honors. He was accepted to both Oxford and Cambridge for graduate school, and will be attending Clare College at Cambridge University in the fall.
