FAQ Continued Will my donation be tax deductible? Due to IRS Tax Laws, we are unable to make all donations tax deductible – only portions of the house that are deemed “educational space” are tax deductible. To ensure we are able to use all donated funds efficiently and effectively we have set a tax deductible threshold. All pledges of $2,500 and greater, made over 5 years, will be tax deductible, to the extent allowable by law, and can be routed through the Delta Chi Educational Foundation for the benefit of Delta Chi at the Georgia Institute of Technology. What if I am unable to make a pledge of $2,500? Donors pledging less than $2,500 over 5 years will make their payments directly to the Delta Chi House Corporation for the Building for the Next 25 Years Campaign. These funds will be deposited into the House Corporation account and used to pay for non-educational portions of the house. All gifts will be recognized in a consistent manner How can I make a gift? Gifts may be made by cash, check , credit/debit card, or stock. My company has a matching gift program; can I apply it to my pledge? If your company has a matching gift program, you will receive donor credit for both your pledge amount and the amount of your company’s matching gift. You may utilize appreciated stock to fulfill your campaign pledge commitment. If you wish to make this type of gift, please contact our Account Manager, Kyle Taylor. He will be able to assist you with the procedure for this type of pledge commitment. Can I give an in-kind gift to the house? In-kind gifts will be reviewed and evaluated on a case-by case basis by the Steering Committee.
