Chapter Update
The Lambda Chapter is
proud of its current state as
representatives of Pi Kappa
Phi. The men that make up our nearly
100-man chapter, strive to be leaders within
our fraternity and in various aspects of the
UGA community. Through collaboration
between dedicated alumni and a motivated
undergraduate chapter, we are consistently
molding each new pledge class into men
that embody the ideals our chapter was built
on. Last fall, we initiated 34 new members,
showing a consistent increase in fall
initiates over the past few years. Also, 10
members were recently initiated as a spring
pledge class. All of our new members have
gotten to know the brothers and traditions
of Pi Kappa Phi and have been guided by an
Executive Council that strives for greatness.
Our chapter is continuing to move in the
right direction, as we were presented with a
Retention Excellence Award, for achieving a
new member retention rate of 90% or greater; a as a chapter and are pleased with improvements
Recruitment Excellence Award for achieving
a chapter size in the top quartile on campus;
and a Master Chapter Award for attaining 3
stars of excellence in campus involvement
at Pi Kapp’s national chapter convention in
Birmingham, Alabama. We are continuing
to improve our philanthropic efforts and will
have our annual spring philanthropy event in
which sororities can participate in a dodge

How has being a
member enhanced your
college experience?
Honestly, I can’t imagine
a college experience without
being a part of the Lambda
Chapter. First off, I’m
surrounded by a group of
guys that are going to be
my best friends for the rest
of my life. I’m satisfied by
this alone, but the positive
experiences continue to go
on and on.
Aside from the Lambda Chapter, what
are you involved in?
That’s a tough question. Truthfully,
I am all in with this fraternity. It’s my first
priority in every circumstance. However,
I’m a die-hard fan for the University of
Georgia athletics. I have friends on various
teams and if I have the time, I’ll attend just
about every event. In addition, I serve as a
chairman for Greeklife with the Diversity
ΠKΦ2 council.

This past summer, we celebrated our
100-year anniversary with a weekend
of alumni events to kick off the Lambda
Chapter’s largest capital campaign to date. The
goal of this campaign is to raise $1,000,000
in order to renovate our existing structure
and build an addition to the fraternity house.
Through alumni and undergraduate efforts,
we have currently raised over $665,000,
with $105,500 of that total coming from
72 active brothers. Our undergraduate brothers
are proud of our commitment to the Lambda
Chapter and are honored to see how active the
alumni have been throughout this campaign. As
an example, we were happy to have brothers
Buck Stoll ’85 and Bob Dickson ’85 come and
speak at our chapter this past February. The
picture to the right shows them in front of the
house with their sons, Conner Stoll ’15 andAlex
Dickson ’15. We have been steadily progressing
we have made over the past few years.
This recent success, in addition to the progress
of our current fundraising campaign, marks a
great era for Lambda and we are excited about
what the future holds for our chapter.

I’m so excited to see where the future of
this fraternity goes, and I can’t wait to
come back as an alumnus year after year
and see the footsteps that each and every
single one of us has made.
What type of events does the chapter
have planned this year?
On the weekend of March 18th, nearly
200 family members and their sons gathered
for a night at Magnolia’s with food, drinks,
and March Madness basketball to celebrate
Parent’s Weekend. The following morning,
we invited our moms to a Mother’s Brunch
to honor everything that the Mother’s
Club and each individual mom has done
