PEOPLECONNECTING, COMMUNITIES. & WILDLIFE

Inspiring The Chicago Zoological Society offers many rich and varied
opportunities for both traditional and informal educators.
Conservation The Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) combines web-based
Action graduate courses through Project Dragonfly at Miami
University in Ohio with exciting, experiential learning and field
                  study at Brookfield Zoo. 1

Since AIP's inception, 154 students have earned either
a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Biological Sciences or a
Master of Arts (MA) degree in biology. "A science background
is not required," said Agnes Kovacs, senior manager of CZS’s
Graduate Programs and Partnerships. Applicants should have
an undergraduate degree and an interest in conservation, the
                  earth, and making a difference.

Margaret Warren completed AIP in December 2019.
While in the program, she was promoted to community
relations program coordinator in CZS’s Community
Engagement Department, which is part of the King
                  Conservation Leadership Academy.
