I-CITY FACADE DESIGN COMPETITION

CLIENT PROFILE

i-City is an ultrapolis masterpiece spread across
72 acres of freehold land in Section 7, Shah Alam,
the capital city of Selangor. It is the pulse of Selangor.

i-City is envisioned by ICT-based urban
development in Malaysia.

IDEA AND CONCEPT

The facade consists of two layers, the innner layer design is inspired by plant
roots, while the outer layers used the traditional Malay male headgear,
Tengkolok as the main idea. Both of the ideas have very organic shapes, they
are being modified into more geometrical and abstract forms to accomodate
with modern architectural style. Root represent the unity of people meanwhile
Tengkolok symbolize the most powerful people in Selangor, the Sultan.
Together it shows how Selangor peoples unite and make this state one of the
most wonderful place of to stay in Malaysia.
